Types of Membership

Ordinary membership
Ordinary membership of the Penang Medical Practitioners' Society (PMPS) is open to all private medical practitioners practicing or residing in the state of Penang.

Associate membership
Associate membership of the the Penang Medical Practitioners' Society (PMPS) is open to all private medical practitioners practicing outside the state of Penang and to non-private medical practitioners practicing both in and outside the state of Penang.

Membership Fees
Membership fees vary depending on the type of membership you are applying.

If you apply to become an Ordinary or Associate member, the fees are RM100 per year.

If you apply to become a Life member, the one-time fee is RM1,000.

All membership applications include a one-time joining fee of RM100.

How to Apply

1. Download the PMPS application form (File format: | Size: 155KB, so please right click the link and select "save target as...").

2. Print the PDF file and fill in your particulars.

3. Include your application form together with:
a recent passport-sized photograph
a photocopy of your Annual Practising Certificate (A.P.C)
your cheque (made payable to "Penang Medical Practitioners' Society")

4. Mail to:

5. You will be informed once you are accepted into PMPS.
